Tests on half-scale steel-concrete composite beams with welded stud connectors
Tests on seven simply supported steel-concrete composite T-beams using welded studs as means of shear connection; all beams tested had same cross section and each was tested to failure using center point load; paper examines effect of varying connector spacing on general behavior of beams, and effect of varying amount of transverse reinforcement in slab; preparation of beams, and instrumentation and test procedures are described.
