Studies covering strength of framed joints, bracing methods, and wall and floor diaphragms used in rural buildings to provide basis for evaluating strength and stiffness of various constructional assemblies; strength of conventional units can be increased in practical manner by rearrangement of structural members, by nominal increase in material or by attachment of simply fabricated reinforcing device.
