Rock-bursts -- Their cause and prevention
Ground movement; varying nature of rock formations makes it difficult to say to what height ground movement is likely to go before natural arching will withstand pressure above; various conditions of unsupported excavation; methods of stoping; ground support; use of dry sand and waste is recommended for filling, in preference to usual wet method.
