Rock dust in bituminous-coal mines during 1930-33
More than 73,000.000 lb of rock dust were used during 1933 to prevent or limit loss of life and destruction of property from explosions of gas and coal dust in underground mining operations; 382 out of total of 5629 active underground bituminous mines applied rock dust; they were chiefly larger producing mines; detailed statistics.
