Finger-jointed timber frames
Stress distribution in rigid triangular timber frames; factors of fixity of joints or rotational stiffness, physical dimension of members which result in nonconstant cross-sections at joints, nonlinear stress-strain relationship, and difference in axial and flexural strengths are considered; test results of series of 15 triangular finger-jointed timber frames are used to correlate theoretically predicted ultimate load with observed test failure load.
