Maximum ship-generated wave heights and related wave half-periods were measured (with step-resistance wave gage) at various distances from sailing line for several vessels operating at certain speeds in Oakland Estuary; methods and results of these measurements are reported and evaluated together with pertinent background information on nature of ship-generated waves.
