Diffraction of Wind Generated Water Waves
Methods of measuring two-dimensional spectra of waves were developed recently; diffraction theory can be applied with sufficient accuracy for two-dimensional wave spectra; results of laboratory study show that knowledge of two-dimensional spectra can be used together with diffraction theory to predict energy spectra of waves in lee of breakwater within accuracy that is probably acceptable for many engineering problems.
