Sedimentation and chemical quality of surface water in Heart River drainage basin, North Dakota
Investigation of sedimentation and chemical quality of surface water in Heart River basin was needed for planning development, management, and use of water resources of area; average annual suspended-sediment discharges near Mandan were estimated to be 1,300,000 tons for 1945 to 1949 and 710,000 tons for 1950 to 1958; concentrations of most of ions vary inversely with flow.
