A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Most successful configurations of Hovercraft to date is British Hovercraft Corp SR.N5 (assembled by Bell Aero-systems Co of Buffalo in United States and designated SK5) and its lengthened derivative, S R.N6; design of SR.N5 built largely from aluminum alloys; Bell Hydroskimmer, 70-ton craft designed primarily for military use, is much longer than SR.N5; all elements (except superstructure and cabin, which are of fiber-glass) are of metal, primarily aluminum; it is so massively built that, in appearance, it is nearer to ship than airplane.
