New way to spray on tunnel lining
Method used in 11,190 ft long railroad tunnel under construction at Vancouver, BC, is similar to shotcreting but with some major differences; one is that coarse aggregate can be used; another difference is that dry mix is delivered by compressed air to nozzle at which point water is added and adjusted by valve; known as Aliva method, new system of concrete spraying is of Swiss origin.
