Seismic design criteria for reinforced concrete buildings
Available information on nonlinear response of oscillators and on nonlinear behavior of reinforced concrete elements is combined to define design criteria for reinforced concrete buildings; special emphasis is put on response of simple linear and nonlinear oscillators as functions of spectral densities of earthquakes and on displacement capacity of reinforced concrete columns; design criteria are established by comparing displacements to be expected during earthquakes with allowable values.
