Recent uses of corrosion resistant low-alloyed steels
In atmospheric conditions these steels get covered with adhesive layer of oxide, impervious and resistant to further penetration of corrosion; this peculiar property and decorative effect of patina has lately made it possible to extend their scope of applications to architecture as well as to bridges, transmission line towers, highway lamp posts, etc; composition of four basic corrosion resistant alloys is given, and development of patina is shown in color photographs.
