Heatproof coating of chromium carbide with silicate binder
Tests show it is possible in principle to obtain coating of chromium carbide on steel by enameling method; carbide coating effectively protects steel for considerable period at temperatures below 1000 C, has high resistance to thermal shock and adheres well to substrate.
