Heat of hardening of unsaturated polyester resin (UPR) in presence of 4% cimene hydroperoxide and same amount of cobalt naphthenate is 101 cal/g; method of determining rate of hardening has been developed, and structural-mechanical properties of UPR have been studied using plastimeter of Plastics Research Institute; relation of hardening rate to temperature was studied and structural-chemical properties of UPR have been investigated at different stages of hardening and at different temperatures; during hardening of UPR structure of material is compacted, and elastic modulus increased.
