Cross national learning for urban policy making
AbstractSome of the key issues involved in cross national learning with respect to urban policy making are considered. The importance of studying urban policy phenomena in the institutional context within which they have evolved is stressed, and a distinction is made between transfers of ideas and experience initiated by suppliers and those begun by receivers. Some of the conditions which favour successful transfer are discussed with reference to the utilization of computers by urban planning agencies.
