Corrosion behaviour of reinforcing steel exposed to an amino alcohol based corrosion inhibitor
AbstractElectrochemical impedance measurements were performed in order to obtain information on the corrosion behaviour of reinforcing steel in the presence of a penetrating amino alcohol corrosion inhibitor. The investigation was performed in solutions contaminated with chlorides, in the presence of inhibitor.The electrochemical results indicate that the inhibitor is able to penetrate through mortar, minimising steel corrosion.
