Studies of the hydration of Ca3SiO5 by ESCA- and krypton-adsorption-measurements
AbstractThe hydration of Ca3SiO5 (C3S) was studied using the ESCA-technique and Krypton-adsorption measurements. The different hydration rates in the induction period and in the acceleration period are attributed to definite changes in the Ca/Si-ratio at the C3S surface and in the specific surface area.
