AbstractThe paper describes a procedure to account for the windload on modern lightweight roof structures of industrial buildings when designing the roof fixation system. In a case study this design procedure is then applied to a large industrial plant and the result compared with the requirements of the ANSI-Standard and with the roof fixation system used.
