Hybrid modified ferrocement under sustained load in flowing sulphuric acid solution
AbstractAs a part of a research programme on reinforcement corrosion, the behavior of a soluble glass-polyvinyl acetate hybrid modified ferrocement under sustained flexural load was investigated in flowing sulphuric acid solution to better simulate the site condition. Test results showed that corrosion in flowing sulphuric acid was much more severe than in stagnant one, and the behavior of the hybrid modified ferrocement under sustained load and flowing sulphuric acid solution was noticeably better than that of control specimens.
