Abstract 1. 1. Liquid chromatography with linear elution was used to determine the group composition of a concentrate of neutral nitrous compounds in a diesel distillate from Sakhalin crude oil. The concentrate consists of N-alkyl (cycloalkyl) derivatives of indole (benzindole); indole, without susbtituents at the nitrogen atom and compounds containing an ester group. 2. 2. Results of IR spectroscopy and the retention parameters from chromatographic separation indicated that the last named compounds contain indole type tertiary nitrogen, as well as the ester group.
