AbstractCorner stiffening is an effective method for strengthening of slender steel girder web panels, particularly in the case of end-panels and panels with centrally positioned ‘cut-outs’.The method for prediciting the ultimate load of panels with corner stiffening is presented and a simple conservative method for designing the corner stiffener is proposed.
