A note on atmospheric dispersion with chemical reaction
Abstract Generalized dispersion theory is used to obtain an analytical solution to the unsteady advective-diffusion equation for dispersion of a reactive pollutant in the atmosphere. Numerical results are obtained for the ground level concentration as a function of time and spatial coordinates for a continuous crosswind line source at different elevations and for various values of the first-order reaction rate under inversion conditions.
