Multidimensional stochastic linearisation of drag forces
AbstractA number of different methods for linearisation of two- and three-dimensional drag forces with and without current are described. Numerical results from a comparison between the methods based on mean square error and invariance properties are presented. Computationally efficient formulas for the linearisation matrices of the two most promising methods have been derived. It is also shown that the minimum mean square linearisation matrix for fully correlated velocity components is non-unique.
