A note on early hydration of cement
AbstractIn this note it is shown that the hydration of portland cement and of blastfurnace slag cement can be traced using the flotation of cement from mortars and concretes. The various stages of the hydration reaction, i.e. initiation, induction period, formation of an initial gel structure and the final hardening process can be detected clearly.
