Seismic response of multistorey framed shearwalls
AbstractUsing a nonlinear model, the seismic response of multistorey reinforced concrete framed shearwalls is predicted and the effect of variations in the material strengths of steel and concrete are studied. In addition, the effect of considering the upper structure weight on such walls is examined. It is found that normal variations in concrete strength can significantly affect the deflections and shear forces in five- and ten-storey framed shearwalls.
