Aerodynamic response characteristics of rectangular cylinders in tandem arrangement
Abstract A fundamental consideration on aerodynamic response characteristics of bluff body tandem structures through wind tunnel test is presented. Bluff bodies spaced in series in flow show mutual aerodynamic interference and their aerodynamics tend to be, in consequence, much complicated. This is mainly caused by the geometry of the body, characterized by slenderness ratio of isolated cylinder and tandem spacing ratio.
