Comparison between plain concrete toughness and steel fibre reinforced concrete toughness
AbstractIt has been demonstrated that linear fracture mechanics only apply to plain concrete under certain very restricted conditions. Theoretical studies using a thermodynamic approach, confirmed by experimental results, indicate that its application to steel fibre reinforced concrete is even more limited.
