A few remarks on Biot's model and linear acoustics of poroelastic saturated materials
AbstractThis review article consists of two parts. The first part concerns the admissibility of four contributions characteristic for Biot's model of poroelastic materials: coupling of partial stresses, presence of relative accelerations in equations of motion, dependence of permeability on frequency and changes of porosity. The second part is devoted to the demonstration of those contributions in the analysis of acoustic waves. Propagation of fronts, monochromatic waves and surface waves are considered.
