Crack space and crack width of weldmesh ferrocement under cyclic loading
AbstractAs part of a large programme, a study of crack width under cyclic loading has been carried out. The crack space, which is thought to be one of the most important factors influencing crack width, has received special attention. Test results and theoretical studies show that the cracks in the ferrocement tested have an insignificant influence on corrosion of steel when the elastic modulus of steel is equal to or higher than 200 000 MPa.
