Alkylaminomethylthio- and dithiobenzoates as lubricant additives
Abstract A new series of compounds - alkylaminomethylthio- and dithiobenzoates - has been synthesized. It has been established that the introduction of an alkylaminomethyl group into a molecule of thiobenzoates improves their anticorrosion properties, while the antiwear and antiscuff properties hardly change in this case. The presence of an alkylaminomethyl group in dithiobenzoates promotes an improvement in their anticorrosion and antiscuff properties.
