A design management solution
Abstract International tourism and landscape experiences are two sides of a single coin. Resort hotels are uniquely positioned to master plan this connection into a distinctive resort product with a competitive edge. This article introduces a conceptual framework which will allow the resort to tap landscape resources through the processes of design, ‘borrowing’, interpretation, packaging and marketing. The proposed design management blueprint also has significant strategic implications for constructing and promoting regional hotel networks.
