Mechanism of oxidation of octadecane catalysed with potassium permanganate
Abstract 1. Quantitative methods were developed for determining the individual composition of products of oxidation of octadene and a mechanism proposed for the formation of monocarboxylic acids. 2. A formula is proposed to determine distribution from the molecular weight of acids formed during oxidation of variousn hydrocarbons.
