Rendering racism: Visualizing colorblind architecture
Highlights Many architects simply don't see the racist ideologies at play in the work we do. Racist ideologies are masked by claims of “not seeing race”. •Our renderings belie the colorblind racist framings of the spaces we design. Renderings can serve as a proxy for anti-racism in architectural process work. Confronting colorblind racism in architecture helps to analyze its overt, institutional, and hegemonic expressions.
