Developments in anaerobic digestion of organic wastes in Israel
AbstractAn overview of the research conducted at the Technion, Israel, on recycling organic wastes, using anaerobic digestion to produce valuable by-products and provide an ecologically sound solution to their disposal, is presented. The development of a thermophilic process, a two-step thermophilic-mesophilic process, an integrative piggery waste process and applications of the solid and liquid by-products are discussed.
