Influence of lateral restraint on lateral-torsional buckling of cold-formed steel purlins
AbstractIn this paper, the influence of the lateral restraint provided by cladding on the lateral-torsional buckling of zed-purlin beams is investigated in detail. The analysis is performed using the energy method. The influence of the lateral restraint on the critical load is discussed for beams with various different boundary conditions, loading positions, with and without interval anti-sag bars.
