High-pressure Fischer-Tropsch synthesis on a cobalt-titanium dioxide catalyst
Abstract The Fischer-Tropsch reaction on a cobalt-titanium dioxide catalyst has been studied at pressures of 1–2 MPa and temperatures of 470°–506°K with volumetric flowrates of the gas mixture of 335–1000 hr−1. Experiment design has been used to determine the optimum conditions for producing liquid hydrocarbons from CO and H2. It has been shown that the maximum efficiency of the contact and its maximum selectivity with respect to the target products in the given range of conditions are achieved at pressures of 1·5–2 MPa and temperatures of 488°–503°K with a volumetric flowrate of 1000 hr−1.
