Wind effects on base isolated buildings
AbstractWind forces on base isolated buildings are experimentally investigated in the boundary layer wind tunnel with focus on the flow and wind force characteristics in the region close to the ground. The experimental findings are introduced into theoretical analysis of the response of base isolated buildings in the drag and torsional directions. The results are presented in the form consistent with the existing code approaches.
