Shaking table test of seismic response of immersed tunnels under effect of water
Abstract Seismic responses of immersed tube tunnel segments were obtained via a series of shaking table tests. The experiment took water effect into consideration in comparison with the existing researches published so far. Details focusing on test equipment, materials, similitude, experimental approach and cases are presented. Response data under 4 kinds of seismic waves whose peak accelerations were modified to 0.1 g, 0.2 g, 0.4 g at 4 water levels were acquired and analyzed. Results show that characteristics of seismic waves, wave amplitude and water all have effect on seismic response of immersed tube tunnel segments. Water has much greater influence on transverse responses than longitudinal ones.
