Oxidation of butenes in maleic anhydride with vanadium-phosphorus catalysts prepared by coprecipitation with colloidal SiO2
Abstract A study was made of the oxidation of n-butenes in maleic anhydride with V–P catalysts prepared by coprecipitation with colloidal silica. With an optimum SiO2 content in the catalysts of 60% wt. the yield of maleic anhydride was 75 mole%.
