The dissulution of a manganese ore in dilute aqueous solution
Abstract The kinetics and the mode of the dissolution of a manganese ore were studied in the laboratory under various conditions such as pH, redox condition, presence of organic matters, and temperature. The results showed that the iron contained in the ore may play an important role in manganese ore dissolution. The presence of organic substances such as nitrilotriacetate, peat extract, and humic acid tended to enhance the extent of manganese dissolution.
