AbstractBuildings provide a vivid statement of the designer's scientific and technical knowledge. This paper shows how videodisc technology can enhance designers' decision-making experiences. Current videodisc packages are described, including the Portsmouth DIRU interactive explorative system. Finally possibilities for future applications are considered together with cost and resource implications.
