Aeolian vibrations of overhead transmission lines: computation in turbulence conditions
AbstractThis paper deals with an analytical approach to define the dynamic behaviour of a cable under vortex shedding excitation in turbulence conditions. The conductor is schematized by f.e.m. The time history of the velocity field is computed in any nodal point of the schematization. The vortex shedding effects are reproduced by means of equivalent non linear oscillators.
