Numerical simulations of pressure fields around building
AbstractNumerical calculations of the pressure field around a small-scale house have been performed. The calculations are simulations of wind tunnel experiments, and the flow conditions in the wind tunnel were reproduced as accurately as possible. The results indicate that, for engineering purposes, the numerical model does give relevant information about the flow and pressure fields around buildings with rather complicated geometry. An analysis of the results further indicates that the calculations can be improved in a fairly straightforward fashion with refined boundary conditions.
