A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Abstract This article argues that town planning is currently facing a number of trends which will influence the spatial structure and location of economic activities in FR Germany. These trends influence urban development in various ways. This article looks at these effects at the urban scale and on urban design; it then discusses the goals and issues in planning related to these trends, the methods and instruments of planning and future prospects.
