Catalytic oxidation of sulfurous air pollutants
Abstract The sulfurous air pollutants, methyl mercaptan, methyl sulfide, methyl disulfide and hydrogen sulfide, have been oxidized to sulfur dioxide. The efficiency of various catalysts has been compared by a microreactor technique. The effect of temperature of the conversion and product distribution over selected catalysts has been determined.
