A model for energy analysis in supermarkets
AbstractA simple supermarket energy model that takes into account the following irreversibilities: external load passing through the walls, heat leakage between cold display cases and warm selling area, and electrical heating is developed. The analysis carried out with this model demonstrates that the energy requirement as a function of the external environmental temperature depends on the following non-dimensional parameters: the heat recovery, the building thermal insulation and the internal load.
