Abstract In this article we introduce a thermo-mechanical damage model, which is capable of representing the behavior of quasi-brittle materials subjected simultaneously to mechanical loading and heat transfer. Special care is taken of the quasi-brittle material behavior which can be represented by the continuum damage model, along with the solution procedures for fully coupled thermo mechanical loading conditions.
