This paper aims to understand these factors by surveying the global forwarder community, using a unique snowball-like method, in the modern work environment. The key method is a business oriented social network enabling a semi-automated and highly targeted online survey of professionals. A comprehensive analysis of the highest ranked factors including fast customs and administration clearance as well as level of service and maritime connectivity reveals some important managerial insights.
