Redistribution of vanadium and nickel during tar thermolysis
Abstract A study has been made of themechanisms of redistribution of vanadium and nickel in products of the thermolysis of West Siberian an Buzachi crude oil tars as a function of the temperature and time of heat treatment. It has been shown that, with increasing temperature and time of the process, metals initially accumulate in heavy vacuum residue (pitch) and then pass into coke. It has been established that the maximum concentration of metals in coke is observed at the initial stage of coke formation. The distillate fractions formed are characterized by a low content of metals.
