Lightweight concrete using cork granules
Abstract The results of tests carried out on lightweight concrete using cork granules are discussed in this paper. The tests reported are for the density, compressive, tensile and bond strengths, permeabililty, shrinkage and thermal conductivity. Although the cork lightweight concrete has its own limitations, the variations which are possible by changing the mix proportions, degree of compaction, etc., give rise to a number of useful applications.
